Bonnie and Todd Wehmann's cramped backyard is full of overgrown plants and there is no area for entertaining. Landscape designer Lisa Wheeler matches the vintage cottage style of the house using rustic natural materials and soft plantings. The country cottage look comes together with an arbor, cobble stone patio and copper and redwood trellis.

THe Wehmanns moved into their turn-of-the-century home a couple months ago, but they need to make some changes to the backyard. The overgrown space is full of thorny rose bushes, crabgrass and mud. They need a safe space for their toddler to play, as well as a place for them to relax.
