All About

David Howerton's three-bedroom condo was built in 1987 in the Portero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, Calif. His small roof deck has fantastic views of Noe Valley and the Twin Peaks, but he wants to enclose the space to help decrease wind and traffic noise without obstructing the view.

To create an inviting outdoor space, he would like to extend the deck the full length of his roof. Since he loves to entertain and cook, he's looking for a designer who will incorporate an outdoor kitchen, ample seating, a fireplace and a hot tub.
