Brian and Kristine McCabe have a large backyard overrun by the surrounding forest. Landscape designer Laura Schaub creates a retreat that blends a country cottage look with a rustic getaway, including new pathways, a vegetable garden, teepee and patio area.
The McCabe's home was built in the 1920s as a park ranger residence, so the backyard has a lot of rustic charm and a unique redwood setting. However, it's a little too much like a forest and completely overgrown. They'd also love to do some gardening, but they have deer in their yard constantly.
