The new walkway helps draw the entire landscape together by using the same pavers as the Scrabble patio, laid out in a random color pattern. Curved planting beds edged with pavers and accented with natural boulders help soften the lines of the hardscape; Lisa is eager to start enjoying the tomatoes, basil, rosemary and mustard in her new boulder garden. Russian cypress (Microbiota decussata), quaking aspens (Populus tremuloides) and pagoda dogwoods (Cornus alternifolia) give height and help screen the property; daylilies, dragon's blood (Sedum spurium 'Dragon's Blood'), Russian sage (Perovskia atriplicifolia) and hydrangeas join with new sod and other plantings to round out the greenscape.
