If you don’t have a lot of room to grow dwarf fruit trees indoors, try growing ornamental peppers instead. The peppers change colors as they mature, starting out ivory, then turning yellow, then orange, and finally, bright red. This colorful display requires only a simple container for a dramatic display. These types of peppers are inedible, purely ornamental. They need bright light and a moist environment.
Another fun choice for small spaces is a dwarf kumquat tree, which produces a colorful, sweet/sour fruit. Pick the fruit for eating only when it is solid orange and soft to the squeeze.
