AfterThe owners of this contemporary house landscaped part of their yard but came to a stop when they reached a rocky slope. They knew they wanted a water feature, but they didn't know how to incorporate it into the landscape.
Our solution calls for nestling a pond into the slope, building a cascading waterfall and surrounding the area with a mix of traditional and exotic plants to create a bold focal point.
Plant list:
Canadian hemlock
'Otto Luyken' laurel
Prague viburnum (Viburnum x pragense)
'Compacta' burning bush
'Nikko Blue' hydrangea
'Tamukeyama' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Tamukeyama')
'Goldmound' spirea
'Pewter Moon' heuchera
elephant ear (Alocasia)
'Bengal Tiger' canna
mondo grass
'Yellow Princess' water lily
pickerel rush
