Behold an updated, retro look that has style, function and plenty of storage. Gone are the blinds on all the windows, and in their place are funky retro curtains that soften the overall look and match the new color scheme. The newly established storage zone works for the entire family and also functions as a place for food prep. Wall-mounted rear cabinets, built by carpenter Chris Ashe, are placed above the existing white cabinet piece that was in another area of the room. The cabinets are an exact color match to the ones beneath the sink. Now the couples' attractive dinnerware can be stored and displayed properly. Additional cabinetry on the adjacent wall includes cabinets at child-size height with chalkboards on the front for each member of the family. There's also a new rolling cart that adds to the counterspace and storage. A modern ceiling fan (not pictured), light fixture top and cool new handles and nobs top off the transformation.
