Hide CaptionShow CaptionPainter's tape is used to add Australian-inspired details to the family's kitchen table.
In honor of David's Australian background, Lawren designs a tabletop motif featuring Australia's floral emblem, the Golden Wattle. To enhance a wood table of your own, use paint stripper as directed to remove the existing finish. Lay out the desired design using painter's tape, remembering the taped part will remain the natural wood color. Use your fingertips to press the edges of the tape in place to insure stain doesn't leak under it. Apply desired stain to the entire table; let dry, and then remove the painter's tape. Apply several coats of polyurethane according to the manufacturer's instructions for protection.
