Hide CaptionShow CaptionNow the space is a relaxing beach retreat. Host and staging expert Lauren Lake noticed beach-themed artwork in the rest of the house, so she decided to bring that into the kitchen to create some continuity.
Natural honey maple cabinetry topped by a sandy colored laminate countertop work together to brighten up the space beautifully. All new stainless appliances play nicely off of the new natural slate laminate floor, while pops of tropical blue in the wall paint and backsplash continue the beach theme. Relocating the sink and dishwasher across the room into the new multi-level peninsula creates a new washing station and seating area that is accented nicely by stylish new indigo glass pendant lights.
