Dawn and Todd Hansen and their two young daughters moved into their ranch-style home in Biloxi, Miss., four years ago. Dawn redecorated most of the house herself and the family is happy with the results. The kitchen, however, remains as they found it; outdated, less than functional and awkwardly apportioned. The Hansen's budget is $50,000 for labor and materials.

After considering three professional designs, the Hansens decide to use the expertise of Herb Moore. Moore blends contemporary and traditional styles with local artwork to create a custom, personalized space. With a lot of function and some southern charm, Moore transforms this outdated kitchen into the perfect space for this young family.
