Freddy and Tina Carter have a huge kitchen with minimal seating and storage. Designer Karen McAloon uses simple ideas to create a homey, country kitchen for these busy homeowners. Two tones of green with a clean white trim on the walls, a flip-up countertop for a freezer and a rustic kitchen table with benches work together to make a functional kitchen that's warm and inviting.

The cabinets are not a favorite aspect of the couple's kitchen, and some cabinet doors are missing. The windows are bare and overpowering. A defined style would go a long way in this kitchen.
