1930s Kitchen

A focal point for the wall over the stove is created to tie together the existing elements in the room. The frame for the backsplash is built with plywood and crown molding and then the tiles are glued on and grouted. A crown-molding shelf breaks up the pattern. For a punch of color, the homeowner's drink coasters are glued onto the tile in a diamond pattern.
