Jann Carl is in her 13th season at Entertainment Tonight. She appears on ET as primary substitute anchor, weekend anchor and correspondent. She has interviewed virtually every major star and newsmaker, from Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts to President Carter and Dan Rather. During her career, she has been selected multiple times to co-host ABC's Oscar Countdown show, the Emmy Awards pre-show on FOX, and CBS' Tournament of Roses parade coverage.

Before joining ET, Jann was a successful TV journalist. After graduating from the University of Missouri, she began her broadcast news career in Chicago, serving as a reporter and morning anchor at WLS-TV. Her work there led to a news reporter position at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, where she also became co-host of Eye on L.A., the station's magazine show. At the age of 27, Jann was named co-anchor of KTLA-TV's No. 1-rated News At Ten, where she won three Emmy awards for her news coverage.

After hosting the MDA Labor Day Telethon for several years in Los Angeles, she was selected by Jerry Lewis in 1996 to be a national co-host of the annual event. For ABC Sports, she has served as co-host of the annual Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, a charity event benefiting the Motion Picture and Television Fund. Jann resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
