A homeowner finds that her century-old townhouse has a little more "history" than she'd hoped for. Now she needs to know what it will take to bring it up to date. When home inspector Reggie Marston shows up to inspect this Washington, D.C., home, he is in for a few surprises. Homeowner Sonja Sweek is doing major renovations to her Capitol Hill row house. She recently hired a new contractor because she wasn't happy with the work done by the first contractor. But before she starts the next phase of her renovation project, she wants a report card on the work done to date. Then, "living small" will be the motto for the Oxford family from now on. They're trading down, so to speak, moving to a house half the size of their current home to help pay for their children's education. But before they put their house on the market, they are doing their homework. They want to make sure their downsized home makes the grade, so they've called house detective Tom Tyler.
