Steps:

1. Remove the hinge pins using a hammer and screwdriver and take down the door.

2. Line up the metal strip of the new threshold to the bottom of the door. Attach with screws, inserted through the pre-drilled holes in the metal strip. If necessary, trim off any excess if the strip is too wide (figure A). File down the rough edge.

3. Slide the rubber insert into the metal retaining strip (figure B). Trim off excess rubber using a utility knife.

4. Hang the door and check to see if you've fixed the draft.

5. For additional protection from the elements, install a rubber sweep on the outside of the door (figure C).
