Janet Kohl is a single mom and real estate developer with a knack for fixing-up old homes. After encountering some obstacles in her life she began restoring this stately Victorian as a parallel to restoring herself.
The designers envision the parlor infused with music and nature. First they divide the space with folding screens upholstered in a garden motif fabric to match the sofas, chairs and artwork that will fill the room.
After months of hard work and painstaking attention to detail, the front parlor is ready to be completed. Janet gives free reign to the design team of Fern Brogan and Michael McNamara, but with a challenge: they must incorporate the theme of personal restoration and spirituality into their plans.
