A right angle drill is the tool to use for drilling in tight places such as inside a cabinet. The body of the drill is turned 90 degrees in relation to the chuck (figure A). For really confined spaces you can fit a short drill bit.

If you don't want to go to the expense of buying a right angle drill, you can purchase an angled attachment for an existing drill (figure B).
