There’s a lot more to painting than just a brush and a bucket of paint. There are many accessories that you can buy that will make your job a whole lot more enjoyable.

If you’re tired of trying to stir the lumps away, pick up a mixer attachment that works with your power drill (figure A).

If you're not comfortable climbing up a ladder, a telescopic pole will extend your reach, letting you reach high places while keeping your feet firmly on the floor. The end of the pole features a screw fitting that works with either a roller or a brush adapter (figure B).
