Mastic is a type of adhesive that comes in tubes. You can use it inside a caulking gun or in tubs. Mastic is very thick and works great for securing paneling, flooring, ceiling tiles and ceramic tiles.
Usually mastic packaged in tubs is applied with either a trowel or a notched putty knife. The notches allow you to spread a nice, even amount of mastic without using too much product. Remember, when using any type of mastic or adhesive always wear eye protection and gloves.
