The homeowners loved their home's location on a wooded lot, but were looking for a warmer home with an artistic touch. They also needed more bedrooms for their four children. The goal of the remodel was to customize the home for the large family and add architectural touches on the interior and exterior.
Architect Alan Dynerman's design added a new second floor with more bedrooms and opened up the main floor to better suit the family. The exterior was changed dramatically and gained a hunting lodge look with a steep roof, large windows and wooden pillars. Inside, the rooms were configured with family living in mind. They’re open and warm, each with its own unique touches. Highlights of the remodel include a new pottery studio and the spacious master suite.
