Canned goods, penny candy and flour were all once sold at the little Columbia, S.C., grocery store Tim McLendon now calls home. Instead of canned goods, the store shelving now holds Tim's possessions and artwork. McLendon did face a challenge in designing a livable interior in the store's limited 900-square-foot space. He succeeded by using creative ideas, such as using fabric instead of walls for room partitions.
