Holly Hudson and Christopher Burg are both graphic designers with a real love of nature. But they feel their yard doesnt really reflect who they are. Designer Kellee McDonald uses gravel instead of sod to fill in the yard, creating a unique look and blurring the lines between the driveway and the yard itself. Heres how they accomplish it:
- tear out lawn and landscaping
- demo whole driveway
- put in large white pavers
- put in a dry creekbed
- plant beach type grasses
- plant lavender for sachet projects
- install basin for downspout chain
- attach metal address numbers
- plant pots on porch
- windchimes
