Sometimes good dogs do bad things to carpet. But don't worry, a quick patch and the floor is as good as new and your best friend's out of the doghouse.Materials and Tools:
vacuum
knee kicker
folding rule
chalk line
utility knife
5-in-1 painter's tool
stair tool
replacement padding
double-sided carpet tape
disinfectant
Steps:
1. Use the knee kicker and stair tool to release the carpet from the tack strip along the wall.
2. Roll back the carpet and measure for your patch with the folding rule.
3. Snap a chalk line to make a guide you can follow while cutting away the damage pad with a utility knife.
4. Remove damaged padding and dispose of properly.
5. Vacuum up any remaining debris.
6. Disinfect any soiled areas along the floor or tack strips.
