Materials:

threshold strips
gloves
quarter round molding
brads

Tools:

utility knives
wonder bars
hammers
pliers
brad nail gun

Steps:

1. Empty the room. Peel back the corner of the carpet and make sure the floor is hardwood.
2. Cut the carpet into manageable sections (about four feet strips) and pull up.
3. Remove tack strips from the perimeter with wonder bars and pliers.
4. Remove all the staples from the floor, using pliers and gloves.
5. Install new threshold/molding using the brad gun.
