Recycle some of those extra paperclips into a funky, glowing lampshade like this one.
Creativity expert Steven James has some fun ideas for recycling office supplies into unusual craft projects.

Paper Clip Lampshade

Materials:

lamp base and shade
paint
paper clips

Steps:

  1. Remove the fabric from the lampshade and separate the bottom rim and spines. You will use the top center circle of the frame for hanging the paper clips.

  2. Paint the lamp base if you prefer.

  3. Hook paper clips together into chains. Make all the chains the same length. For this project, large clips were used in chains of five. Be sure the length of the shade isn’t too long for the lamp base.
