He Said, She Said

Mike and Shannon Parsons meet with host Michael Payne to discuss the design of their outdoor patio. Mike wants the patio to be enclosed with rich woods to create the feel of a boat cabin. Shannon, on the other hand, wants the patio to be open and airy, reminding her of the big skies in Montana.

Shopping for Solutions

Payne takes the couple on a field trip to Sig's Pottery and Furniture, a fountain showroom. Shannon expresses her desire for a big rock-like water feature while Mike wants one that can be hung on the wall. Payne finds the perfect compromise: a slate back and copper highlighted wall hanging water feature.

Now it's time to furnish the patio. Mike wants sturdy teak, but Shannon would like wicker with floral cushions. They visit Universal Furniture but don't find the look to meet their needs. Payne suggests searching the Internet and shows them some furniture from Gardenside Ltd. It's perfect!

A Happy Ending

Michael Payne makes his final visit to the Parsons'. The outdoor patio is complete with the Gardenside furniture. Mike loves the teak wood and Shannon enjoys Payne's design, which creates an enclosed yet open feeling. Also, the water fountain makes just enough noise to muffle out the street traffic. It's a win-win design for all.
