A former dress shop in Akron, Ohio, gets a second chance to make an impression as the eclectic home of the Geib family. Built in 1912, the 3,800-square-foot building served as Bee’s Dress Shop for 46 years. Since the dress shop was a landmark in the area, owner Lily Madoff hated the thought of the building being abandoned when she closed the business in the early 1990s.

Lily is quite impressed after seeing how the Geibs transformed the building. Decorating the home with antique pieces of clothing and dress forms came naturally to costume designer and homeowner Inda Blatch Geib. The Geib family wanted the building’s conversion to be a tribute to Bee's Dress Shop and they have each contributed to making this dream come true. Even though people still mistake the building as an active business, this home will now be known as a building with a colorful past.
