Greg and Petra Martin had long wanted to find a home in California's Napa Valley, and after several years found an overgrown winery. After much hard work, they converted the structure into a magnificent home. The great stone building feels like a castle, complete with medieval coats of armor decorating the grand halls and living room and an elaborate antiques collection.

The building has also been restored to its original use. Greg cultivates grapes and put a small winery in on the first floor. They left the exterior largely unchanged and the building stands as a landmark to those who remember its early days. The Martins are satisfied in their dual accomplishment of finding a home and preserving history.
