Remodeling Tips

The Roges, having already remodeled their kitchen, opted to put money into the next safest investment in their home: the master bath. A jetted tub and steam shower are preferred features in a master bathroom for resale, as are the granite counters and travertine floors.

A steam shower is a popular feature to add at an average cost of $3,000. However, when installing it is important to keep in mind that the shower must be completely waterproofed or else the steam can easily cause structural damage and warping. Kyle and Terri also decided to put the steam unit in the basement to keep the noise level down but have the unit remain accessible.
