Years of cooking and entertaining have left their small, lackluster kitchen in desperate need of a makeover. With a baby on the way, the soon to be family of four turns to designer David McNulty to help fulfill their dream of having a modern, functional kitchen.

McNulty's solution: Start from scratch. The old kitchen is demolished and converted into an open, contemporary space. New cabinets and appliances are installed along with hardwood flooring and intricate tile work on the walls. But not everything goes as planned as the Robinson's old house reveals some surprises hidden behind its walls.
