As a high school woodshop teacher, Jeff McCabe always wanted a house he could sink his power saw into to. He found it in a high school gymnasium in rural Nebraska. When the students moved out, the building was left perfectly intact, complete with basketball hoops and markings on the floor.
Jeff capitalized on these features when turning the home into his 2-story woodworker’s dream come true. Each room is trimmed in different exotic woods finished by Jeff. The living room retained the basketball court markings on the floor. He reused the bleachers to make the staircase to the second floor.
