Great Opening

Host Pat Simpson meets with contractors Dan and Roger Funderburk to swapping out the sliding glass door of this home with a new set of French doors.

The brothers remove the existing door’s trim and casing and begin building the frames for the new French doors. Next, the contractors continue building the French doors and prime them so they are ready for installation. They remove the existing sliding glass doors and install the newly constructed French doors.

The louvered doors to the laundry room doors are also removed and replaced with solid bi-fold doors.

Simpson talks to the homeowners about this project and also the next one coming up, the renovation of the downstairs bathroom.
