AfterInstead of remodeling the house where she currently lives, she decided to have Curb Appeal take a look at her first love. John Zanakis takes a small bungalow and returns it to its Arts and Crafts roots with some paint detail, a new front patio, a lot of landscaping and various other pieces of the craftsman puzzle.
Here's how they accomplish it:
- By trimming the enormous trees covering the front of the house, making it more visible.
- A new path creates a patio in the front yard as an extension of the already existing brick.
- Landscaping using low maintenance plants along the path and around the house.
- New accessories which give the house an arts and crafts appearance: a new mailbox, paint details around the porch, trellises in the front yard, a new porch light and a brand new phantom screen door.
