The homeowner in this episode bought her house specifically for its location. But since she plans on staying in the home for a long time she decided to remodel and create her dream home. Changes include a second-floor addition and an exterior update. She wanted to create an open atmosphere while keeping some private, cozy spaces.
Designer Dick Dooley's plan expanded the home's footprint as well as the second floor that added bedrooms. The exterior received a French Country makeover and a grand new entrance. Other highlights include a two-car garage, screened porch, new master bedroom suite and places to highlight the owner's art collection.
