Richard Deurer of Baltimore makes his living in construction, but he's really an artist at heart. He and his partner, Nancy Baldwin, transformed their traditional basement into a showplace for ancient Egyptian art.
But instead of collecting ancient artifacts Deurer actually makes his own Egyptian-flavored works. They even named the property and home Pyramid Acres.
The Egyptian theme shows up anywhere and everywhere in the comfortable downstairs domain, even sometimes where you least expect it. Deurer's handiwork truly makes the basement incredible. He created wall reliefs hand-carved from layers of drywall.
