After living abroad for twelve years, Barbara Evans returned home to Eaton, Ohio, after living abroad for 12 years. She and her late husband Ray had decided to convert the family’s 1840s sawmill into a home.

The mill had been closed for 10 years, and with some help from friends and family they turned it into a livable home in four months. The home features century old barn doors, and Evans incorporated the boiler and mill machinery into the home. She uses the old foreman’s office as a bedroom.
