The homeowners loved the location of this duplex, just steps from the water. They converted the lower unit into an in-law suite and the upper unit into their new home. They also added a third floor addition and remodeled the look to fit their relaxed, casual lifestyle.

Architect Brian Cote's design added 2,200-square-feet to the home, with more living and bedroom space on the first and second floor along with the new third floor. The exterior reflects the home’s beachside location in its style. The exterior has what the homeowners call a beach look, with hurricane shutters and lots of decks. The first floor suite features lots of space and a new galley kitchen. Upstairs, highlights include a new master bedroom and bright living spaces. The third floor contains a den and media room.
