Designer Don Hirsch came up with a plan that combined arts-and-crafts style with a more distinct entry, a whimsical path, less invasive landscaping and Craftsmen detailing. Hirsch suggested painting the brick with a two-tone green color scheme, but the Zechiels decided to go with a creamy sand color.
