Materials and Tools:
ladder
five-gallon bucket
paint screen
drill
mixing attachment
dropcloth
rag
paint brush
extension
paint roller
paint covers
head covering
dust mask
safety glasses
texture
paint
Steps:
1. Once the ceiling is prepped and ready to go, start by mixing the paint with the texture in the five-gallon bucket. Use a power drill and a mixing attachment, and be sure to set the drill on low speed. Follow instructions on the texture package carefully.
3. Make sure you have a sturdy platform or ladder so you can comfortably reach the ceiling, and use an extension on your roller. Apply the paint and texture. Experiment with different types of rollers to get the desired look.
4. Continue working in a nice, even flow until the ceiling is covered. Get down off your ladder or platform and look for any areas that don't match up well and make any necessary touch-ups.
5. Clean up your mess and you're done.
