With the foundation of Brandon's house taking weeks longer than expected, costs creep up as the clock ticks on. Construction Manager, John Dick, begins collecting bids for framing the house. The unique nature of the project is adding extra challenges and costs.
Problems continue to pop up on this unusual site—from finding a machine capable of digging deck supports on such a steep slope to incorrectly poured elevations. The contractors must work together to sort everything out.
As work begins by the framer of choice, Mother Nature continues to play a starring role in the process. Brandon and his mother, Susan, take a shopping trip, since Keri Rogers is no longer part of the picture. Concrete contractor, Sam McKay, returns for what he hopes is his last pour at Brandon's house.
An earlier, cost-saving change in the plans for Brandon's house has caught up with construction and for once, it's a welcome surprise.
