AfterAll About
The house needs a lot of repair and Pat's ready to make some changes that'll bring out the beauty of her new home. Although there is a jungle of juniper and a fence that's ready to fall down, designer Jeff Allen is excited to take on this project. With a little gumption from her 30-year-old son Clark who recently moved back home, Pat and Jeff hope to revamp this unique residence.
Here's how they accomplish it:
- Remove the enormous juniper bushes in the front yard and replace them with large paver stones to open up the front of the house.
- A new fence with copper detailing replaces the old one, still giving Pat the privacy she needs in the back yard.
- New detail is added to the top of the roof, using copper sheeting and contributing a more modern look to the '50s home.
- Olive trees, roses, and rosemary spruce up the landscaping.
- Finally, small details such as new copper house numbers, custom-made copper trellises, new paint on the door and more modern copper lights for the garage really add to the curb appeal of this home.
