Materials and Tools:
gold sheer double-wide fabric for base tablecloth (enough to fully cover your table and accommodate puddling on the floor)
gold silk fabric for main tablecloth (enough to fully cover the top of your table and fall half-way to the floor)
brown wired ribbon
scissors
copper vine
12 large gold and copper Christmas balls
Steps:
1. Lay sheer fabric on table. Double-wide fabric is great for this because you don't have to worry about sewing the fabric together to make it wide enough to fully cover the table. Puddle excess fabric on the floor, tucking raw edges under so they aren't visible.
2. Tie three Christmas balls together with ribbon. Leave a few inches of ribbon ends for attaching the ornaments to the tablecloth. Create four sets of ball clusters, one for each corner.
3. Lay gold silk fabric over sheer fabric. Gather fabric together at corners, creating a swag effect. Attach ornaments to gathered corner. Tuck a piece of copper vine into gathered fabric, allowing it to cascade over ornaments.
4. Finish by adding a large bow with the brown wired ribbon. Finally, add ornaments and ribbon to the other three corners, swagging the gold top fabric from corner to corner as you go.
