Creepy-Crawly Cauldron

Materials and Tools:

block of dry ice (available in most grocery stores)
cauldron or big, old-looking pot
rubber creepy-crawlies such as rats, bats, snakes and frogs
pitcher of water
leather gloves
large tongs

Steps:

1. Wearing gloves and handling the dry ice only with tongs, place dry ice in cauldron. Caution: Dry ice will burn you, so never touch it with your bare hands and always keep it out of reach of small children or animals.

2. Cover ice with rubber creepy-crawlies; place animals so it looks like they are coming out of the cauldron.

3. When the party guests arrive, pour warm water over dry ice, causing it to bubble and smoke. Reapply warm water whenever the smoke begins to dissipate.
