9- to12-foot natural or synthetic garland
Christmas ribbon with wire
Steps:
1. To create western-themed Christmas garland, wrap Christmas ribbon loosely around the garland.
2. Place garland on a mantel, railing or over a doorway.
3. Finish garland by placing barn items gently into garland.
4. You can complement your Western-themed motif by repurposing old family photos in vintage frames to use as Christmas ornaments. Hang them carefully from your Christmas tree using ribbon or arrange them to accent your garland.
Homemade Photo-Frame Ornaments
Here's another easy holiday project that complements the Western-themed motif: Repurposing old family photos as ornaments for your Christmas tree.
Materials and Tools:
old photos (or copy of old photo)
small picture frames to fit photos
hot glue
decorative ribbon, 6" lengths
Steps:
1. Place old photos in photo frames. Close securely.
2. Thread ribbon through hanging tab on back of frame and tie ends. If no tab is present, hot-glue both ends of ribbon to the back of the frame and allow to cool.
3. Hang frames on sturdy branches of your Christmas tree.
