Boys' No-Sew Spider Web Costume

Create a quick and easy spider's web costume for your little trick-or-treater this Halloween out of a sweatsuit and a few other basic materials.

Materials and Tools:

child-size black sweatsuit
glow-in-the-dark fabric paint
black pipe cleaners
large and small googly eyes
black stocking cap
large black pompoms
hot-glue gun and glue sticks

Steps:

1. Using glow-in-the dark fabric paint, create a spider web on the black sweatshirt by drawing straight lines and connecting them in several spots with curved ones. Start from the middle and work your way out so it looks like one big web. Continue the web pattern on the front and back of the sweatshirt, and repeat pattern on the sweatpants.

2. Create small spiders by cutting four black pipe cleaners in half, creating eight small legs. Glue the legs to a large black pompom and add two googly eyes. Make several small spiders, gluing them to webs on the sweatsuit in different spots.
