Before and After: Decorating for the Holidays

Before: With four young boys, the Harrimans don't have a lot of time to decorate for the holidays. They usually hang very basic lights so they are very excited to see what a pro will do!

After: Using a "Winter Wonderland" theme, Richard Lewis brought a frosty look to this Southern California home with a "snow blanket" accented by a forest of silvery trees.

Before: Even this driveway is going to be part of the design for the holidays.

After: The area is changed into an ice skating rink that can be assembled just about anywhere!

Production designer Richard B. Lewis used his Hollywood secrets to create a "Winter Wonderland" design in the front of the Harriman's Los Angeles home:

Believe it or not, this ice skating rink was put together in about an hour! Sand bags covered in polyester batting create the perfect illusion of a frozen pond in winter.

Holiday-themed scrapbook pages tucked inside Plexiglas frames are secured with fishing line inside large globes. Some are suspended from trees and others are put on top of PVC pipes wrapped with batting and a pipe fitting covered in white tape to make walkway posts.

Use a hot knife and safety gear to cut blocks of foam, and then "glue" the pieces together with insulating foam sealant to form an igloo.
