Christmas decor becomes a whole lot simpler this year, with a trend toward decorating with a few big things, rather than lots of little ones. This trend is "largely" influenced by bigger home design, where a few ornaments or strands of Christmas lights can go a long way toward creating a cozy Christmas scene. And for allergy-sufferers, look for the latest in no-hassle, pre-lit Christmas trees.

Commercial professionals have been using large-scale ornaments for years, but GKI/Bethlehem is seeing a surge in retail for the same items. Their classic jumbo ornaments, nine-foot garlands and radical snowflakes are perfect for large home decor. "People are hanging them from big cathedral ceilings and doorways," says Sharon Epstein, marketing service manager. Epstein suggests using two or three jumbo ornaments in a doorway for instant sparkle. "They're just such quick, easy decorating for newer homes," she says.
