Accent an architectural element or a wall with your special holiday cards using copper and gold wire.

Materials and Tools:

16-gauge wire (copper and gold)
wire cutters
picture hanging nails
needle-nose pliers

Steps:

1. Use the pliers to make a swirl and use a nail to hold it at the top of the column.

2. Bend the wire as desired around the column, adding swirling branches to it as you go to hold the cards in place (wrap enough wire around the main stem to hold a new branch in place, and then cut some extra length to swirl into a decorative card clip). Start the swirls using pliers until a couple turns are made, and then continue by hand until it's the desired size.

3. Connect different sections of wire by forming another swirl and continue wrapping the pole. Hold the final swirl in place at the bottom with another nail.

4. Add the cards to the swirls and the main stem as they arrive each day until it's full.
