Design on a Dime design coordinator Charles Burbridge shares how to make copper tea light sconces.

Materials:

1" square wood stripping
thin copper sheeting
scissors
hammer
awl
hot glue gun
copper-topped fence-post caps
flat fence-post caps
corner molding
post or decorative wall bracket

Steps:

Figure A

Create a rectangular frame out of the 1-inch square wood stripping (figure A).

Figure B

Wrap the copper sheeting around the box to measure; cut out with scissors (figure B).

Figure C

Create indentations on the copper with a hammer; use an awl to punch holes for the light to filter through (figure C). Create the same pattern on each of the four sides.
