Warm Up the Fireplace Mantel for the Holidays

Decorate your home with a winter wilderness theme for Christmas. Designer Genevieve Gorder opens up the room by setting a large framed mirror on top of the mantel. To achieve her fresh, natural design, cover the mantel with different shades of green moss. Two glitter-covered vases hold arrangements of white branches to create a wintry feel, while small potted evergreens are highlighted with white string lights. For a playful touch, hang a piece of gray cloth with scalloped trim and white felt snowflakes around the perimeter of the mantel.
